Kennedy's grumpy morning

So today Kennedy was running out of the house without shoes on. Tom sits her down on the front porch steps and says "Hey Missy, sit down and put those shoes on". She is then super grumpy on the way to school. He tries to cheer her up and tickles her side until he can get a laugh. She hates being tickled in the side I guess. Then he says "Goodbye, I love you" while giving her lunch money. She refuses to talk so he says "What? You can't say I love you to your dad? Well, if you don't I won't give you lunch money", just joking around with her. She refuses, and heads into school. Tom gives the money to Jonathan to give to her for lunch.

Here's what this translates to at school:

Kennedy walks up to the teacher and asks to borrow money for lunch. Then tells the "story" to her teacher. Here's her interpretation: "My dad was tickling me in the wrong spot, and I didn't like it. I wouldn't say a certain word, so he wouldn't give me money."

Oh....My.....Gosh.......

We laughed hysterically when she retold this story to us, but then I thought. I wonder what the teacher is thinking right now!

Wait, someone's at the door. Oh hello children services.
