West Virginia

A few weeks ago when I was talking to Jonathan, I jokingly told him he needs to marry someone that I like. He said "I'm going to marry Kennedy". I laughed and told him I guess you can, if you move to West Virginia. I of course had to explain what I meant, that it's illegal to marry siblings except in West Virginia (no idea if that's even true still). He looked completely serious, and asked "How far away is West Virginia? Is that where Kinds Island is?" I told him not too far, but I don't think you are going to marry Kennedy. I don't think there is any changing his mind though. It is set, and Kennedy is going to be his wife! He still must feel this way because yesterday they were playing in the other room, he had a "tux" on and Kennedy was all dressed up. I heard him say to Kennedy, "no you can't be my sister because then we can't get married", hmmm, I guess we will need to revisit this issue at a later date! It's so adorable though, and I can't wait to remind him when he's older! I'll let him know when they are fighting, you know...once upon a time you thought you were going to marry her. I'm sure some kind of gagging noise will be his response. Until then I will just enjoy how innocent and sweet my little guy is. He has a heart so huge, I am looking forward to seeing him as an adult....and I will try not to judge the woman he marries too much. We might not have to worry about it though, he's so in awe of all things religious we are thinking priesthood is in his future.

Kennedy's life is over

Kennedy informed me one night that she feels like there is nothing left to look forward to. The actual words were " I just feel like now that I'm eight and in third grade I have nothing else to look forward to..." Oh, as you can imagine I just laughed and laughed! I told her that is absolutely NOT true, there is so much more.

1. Getting your first period
2. Buying your first bra
3. Going to high school
4. Going to your first dance
5. Your first boyfriend
6. Getting your first kiss
7. Getting your drivers license
8. Graduating from high school
9. Graduating from college (hopefully)
10. Buying your first house
11. Getting married
12. Having children

This is just off the top of my head! Hopefully Kennedy has 100 more years to realize all of the amazing experiences and opportunities life has to offer! If she ever needs reminding I will be right here to help her figure it out.

Anderson's first steps

Geesh! It has been a while since I've posted!

So.....Anderson has been dabbling in the walking department, but yesterday he ventured out past 2 steps! He is the most darling, pleasant little boy! I just can't believe that he is growing up so fast, just like I can't believe that any of my kids have grown so fast. Kennedy is weeks away from 8 and reading 4th grade level books, Jonathan turned 6 yesterday and is playing video games like a teenage boy, little Sonny is 2 1/2 and is starting to talk up a storm, and now Mister Anderson is almost 11 month's and walking! It really is amazing and such a blessing to have four AMAZING kids! I love them more than words, thoughts or feelings could express. Today at snack time I looked over and Sonny was looking at me with so much adoration and said "love you mommy", it just melted my heart. Tiny things like that are just a sign straight from God that I am living the life I am meant to be living. I just wish it could slow down a bit so I can enjoy it some more! (or at least slow down the days where everyone woke up on the right side of the bed!) So here is the walking video, please forgive the messy house, it was Jonathan's birthday and we had just downed McDonald's and cake after soccer! Busy BIG day! Which is pretty much our life. :)
